"Didn't I see her somewhere?"
Amy Smart lives up to her name.

Hey look, there's Charlie Sheen! Everytime I watch Starship Troopers, there's always something that bothers me. Yeah, yeah, some of the acting can be pretty awful, but aside from that. There's a scene, early in the film, when Carmen is piloting a group of her fellow fleet officers aboard a shuttle. The young blonde woman who sits next to Carmen (at left in the photo) is Cadet Lumbreiser, whose friendship with Carmen will eventually lead her to a helmsman spot on a starship. I thought the actress who played her had a very familiar face. I've found out that she's Amy Smart, and since her minor role in Starship Troopers, Amy has gone on to star in such movies as Dee Snider's Strangeland, the Farrelly Brothers' Outside Providence, the time travel story The Butterfly Effect and the film version of Starsky & Hutch. She's also appeared on TV in Felicity, Scrubs, and has even lent her voice to several episodes of the insanely genuis Adult Swim series Robot Chicken.
